We often speed to save time. How much time have you saved if you get pulled over? How much time have you saved if you have to go to court for that speeding ticket? How much time have you saved if you cause or are in an accident? You have actually wasted a lot more time.
Avoiding collisions, not getting pulled over, and conserving gas are all ways to save money. We all know insurance companies hike our rates when we are involved in collisions. Being able to observe collisions before they happen is, therefore, invaluable. What is the average increase in an insurance premium due to an accident? How much is the average speeding ticket? The faster you drive, the more gas is burned. Who can afford to waste gas these days?
Drivers who have received traffic citations can take the course before they go to court to possibly get a 20% discount on their fine and possibly receive no points on their license. The cost for this course for the purpose of traffic citations and court is $75.
In Georgia, when you receive 15 or more points on your driving record in a 2-year period your license will be suspended. In order to have your license reinstated, you must take this class. Upon completion, you must take your certificate for the course and reinstatement fee to the license bureau. This should allow you to get your license reinstated. There is no guarantee by Barber's Driving School of license reinstatement. You must call DDS (Department of Driver Services) at 1(678)413-8400 to find out all your reinstatement requirements. The cost for this course for the purpose of reinstatement of license is $75.
If you are in jeopardy of having your license suspended due to an accumulation of points, you can take this course to possibly prevent suspension. Once every five years you are allowed to turn a Defensive Driving Certificate in to the DDS to get 7 points removed. This must be done before you have reached the 15-point limit. The cost for this course for the purpose removing up to 7 points is $75.
Drivers over 25 years of age who have had a clean driving record with no tickets or claims for the last three years can take the course and receive up to a 10% insurance discount, usually for 3 years. Please check with your insurance company to find out if DDC will save you money. The cost for this course for the purpose of an insurance rate discount is $25.
